Ramadan Charity

Charity is an integral part of Islam and it is all the more important in the holy month of Ramadan.
The Prophet(peace and blessings be upon him).

Islamic Department of Mayoor Private school had taken an initiative to start the charity drive during the holy month of Ramadan.

Community Outreach Program

Students of Mayoor went for the paper bag distribution campaign to the local supermarkets and groceries.This project’s aim is to increase public awareness about Paper bags and its importance in society.

Supermarket Charity Program

The Kindergarten team, set up a “Mayoor Supermarket” where students could experience the process of shopping, right from making a shopping list, browsing and selecting items and billing using cards and cash. As 2017 was declared as the “Year of Giving”, students were encouraged to donate their shopped items for the needy and they willingly obliged. It was truly touching to see students be so generous and mindful of the environment at such a tender age.

Al Wathba Labor Camp Cleanup Campaign

We have successfully completed our 3rd Community Outreach Project (Eco Club External Project - Cleanup campaign) at Al Wathba Wetland Reserve and near Labor camps in partnership with Ahalia Hospital, Mussafah. Our team has collected 150 kgs of waste mostly plastic, paper, wood, glass and metal. The Sustainable School Initiative under which the event was held, is intended to encourage students to become involved in activities that will benefit their community and Environment.

"I don’t litter" Campaign

Environment Agency Abu Dhabi organized a Community Outreach program “ I don’t litter” and Walkathon as a part of Waste Free Environment Campaign. The objective of the campaign was to take action to clean up areas that are being polluted by unnecessary litter. 7 students from Mayoor Private School actively participated in the event.

Operation Smile

Operation Smile

A group of 30 students signed up to volunteer in the Operation Smile Club. Students of Mayoor took up the responsibility of becoming the Leaders of the Club. The Club was initiated on the 12th of September 2019 after an orientation session was given to the Leaders by the Operations Smile Representatives.
